2016 High School Awards

On Wednesday, May 4th, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented 14 awards to local high school students in the region who are pursuing a career in media and journalism. Now in its 14th year, NATAS, Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s High School Student awards recognize outstanding cultural, educational, technological, entertainment, news and informational achievements by high school  students. More than 150 students from more than a dozen high schools throughout the Greater Philadelphia region attended the event held at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Among the award recipients, Austin Gassert of Cedar Crest High School and Lexi Fiore of Sterling High School were both recognized with the Young Producer’s Award for their Public Service Announcements (PSAs):
